We offer certified appraisals for a single piece of art or entire collections and estates.
James Cox (IFAA) began his appraisal career as director of New York’s Grand Central Art Galleries. In that capacity he documented the value of art for the galleries’ clients, the American Art Dealers Association, museums, the Internal Revenue Service, corporations, and banks. Over the last forty years his expertise has grown as he has been frequently called upon to appraise artwork for individuals, attorneys, city and state governments and public institutions.

Fees
Appraisals are billed at $1,500 per day plus expenses (e.g. out of town travel). Minimum charge for an appraisal is $100.
Many appraisals require one quarter or one half day to complete.
