How to Consign?

Where to Begin:

Often the simplest way to offer consignment is via email. Send us an email with a brief description (artist name, medium, and size) and images of piece(s) you would like to consign. Please send the email to info@jamescoxgallery.com

We would also be happy to speak with you about your possible consignments by phone. Please call 845-679-7608

When possible, an in-person visit to our gallery is also welcome. Please call ahead to make an appointment.

Our terms are simple:

• Consignors receive 80% of the final hammer price – no additional fees
• Every item is sold at NO RESERVE (unless discussed with Mr. Cox)
• Full payment is sent out exactly one month after auction (i.e. The auction is on December 8th, checks will be sent January 8th).

How to Bid

Bids made by telephone, online, by agents, or in written form may be submitted to the auctioneer at minimum 48 hours prior to the sale. By bidding at the auction, a buyer assumes responsibility to pay the purchase price bid plus the buyer’s premium and any additional charges that become due and payable in connection with the purchase, delivery, packing & shipping, or storage of property. Online bidders must register with an online service before bidding. Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to register any prospective bidder for any reason.
